websitebuzz.com is a basic use of our user maintained classified system. Scaled down from what is in use at http://buzztrader.com. But this websites theme allows anyone to advertise their website for sale.

We constructed the site primarily to offer our own websites for sale. We purchase batches of domain names, set them up on our hosting system with basic pages and offer then for sale at about $25 eash. Just slightly over the cost of the domain name.

The sites have drawn much interest, however, most people will buy their own domain name for $8.95 rather than buy an existing site. Stll the sites are a strong marketing tool. However, the cost of advertising was unbareale and produced less than they cost.

So building our own website to sell websites was an obvious choice. But despite our efforts, the number of daily search for websites for sale is low.

It has almost become a joke to sell a website. With sites like myspace.com selling for 1.5billion, eveyone believes their $10 website is worth millions. So people build 10 pages and post the site for sale for $100,000.00.

There is nothing wrong with hoping your site is worth millions. But in 99% of the cases the site is worth about $10. The abundance of over priced websites makes selling legit websites a joke. Everyone on the buying end thinks every website is just an overpriced dream.

At the same time, our $25 websites look very attractive amongst the high priced offerings.

We originally had google ads on the site, but traffic was low and we wanted to retain as much as we could to offer our deals.
